Detoxify the Dead

We will soon have a Dead Detox Forum, so that those killed out of the games can participate. Only those that are dead will be able to see this Forum, with maybe a few exceptions (must be non-players).

Any thoughts or ideas?

Worth a shot but I can almost guarantee there will be cries of foul play if thoughts expressed in here somehow automagically get mirrored in the game.  Just by dumb chance or no.

Valid point that's why ONLY the DEAD and carefully selected NON-Players will be in the group that is allowed to see it. This will mean that if you are an Admin or Mod, you will be allowed an alternate membership just for the games.

I know what you mean Slim but say fer instance DGC is dead, sees a huge clue that is missed in the game and says it in here.  I, also dead, see it and go "Wow!  You are dead on" (very punny).  5 minutes later Greg (in the game) purely out of luck gets the exact same thing and uses it to win.

Even though everything is completely on the up and up.... it opens the door for bitchin.  *Someone*  "Mav probably told him in an email"

 I would love to be able to second guess in a different area but I'm not sure if it's such a good idea.

And I think the honor system would work just fine with the people here.  It's not the cheating but the perception of the possibility.

Maybe I'm thinking too much about it.

I think it is a fabulous idea, but entry should be strictly enforced.

I don't think Mav's idea will be a problem.  We're on the honor system not to communicate outside the game, with eachother, anyways.  I could just as easily have a partnership with Bob or Deeg or Greg or someone to always disclose our roles to eachother, in the game and help the Townies lose or something...

There's always ways to cheat, I think, though, that this crowd is above it... *suspiciously eyes the crowd*

Heh.. funny if only one guy dies the first night (in future games... obviously we have a few dead already for this one)...so looonnnely in that thread, it'll be.

I agree that we are all above cheating.  It's a game, ffs, and I haven't seen any behavior that would suggest otherwise.  It would be fun to have an area that allowed the recently departed to laugh at those of us still pointing fingers, or pointy sticks, at each other.

Only what I was going to add if/when you made it which is EXTREME CAUTION IS REQUIRED.  Yeah, I'm all about the caps today.  If you are Johnny Mafia the dead wiseguy, don't divulge who the other mafia are.  It will get out.  Maybe not every time, maybe not most of the times, but it only takes once.  My thought was that it would be a place where people who were invested in the game could talk about how damned stupid so-and-so was being or whatever, without it having a chance to influence the game.  Keep in mind that if so-and-so dies though, they will be able to see what you wrote.

oh yea, that's basically what I was thinking...

just to be able to sit back and do commentary while we watch the football game from behind the glass... I think it'd be neat... I wouldn't want anyone to SPOIL the game for me... I guess I assumed that part.

Can we make it a rule not to spoil the game... I don't want spoilers... just to be able to point and talk... but I guess that may require two different forums... one for dead bad dudes, one for dead townies...  *scratches head*
