I dunno, Dino, last game I was saying the same thing.... but I think it's time to try new things.

You're right, we do learn from successes as well as failures, but we should always strive to win.  The playing of the game is fun, but you have to have goals and a target.  We're simply advocating a new strategy this time, which includes leaving open the possibility of NOT lynching someone.

Yes, it may slow the action in the beginning a little, while we all form our more cautious theories and accusations, but in the end I think it's a quite valid strategy to try.

Before we've haphazardly voted for anyone we could bandwagon support for, whether we were SUUUUURE they were bad or not.  We've killed our own cops in doing that.  We've more often killed townies, in doing that.

So far we've not killed a single innocent person, and our champion class, Priest, has managed to get a vampire kill.  We can't rely on the champion classes to do all our work, but no one said they're NEVER gonna vote in this game... just not until we got a plan.

Well THAT should be a clear message to anyone else advocating the mafia equivalent of football's "two minute offense".  If that doesn't build a fire under their bums the townies deserve to lose.

I know one thing.

Watching sucks when you want to play... I keep wanting to post and be like "NO NO YOU NEED TO LOOK HERE, STOP WORRYING ABOUT THIS" even though it's just as likely that I'm wrong lol.

One of the most frustrating parts of being a mod.  The worst is when you come up with a really cool twist or ability for someone and have a lot planned out on it working right and the required person dies before anything can happen.  For the record, that hasn't happened in this one, but it has happened before.

LMAO, very frustrating for the writer too...you try to get a little ahead anticipating what "might" happen, and the game takes a turn you never even thought of!!! i.e. The Priest getting turned, and Michael getting lynched!!! Had to write those under the gun by the seat of my pants because we didn't think of them ahead of time.

As far as the timed thing goes, I think it's ok, but I'm not sure that a day of gameplay should = a day in real life. Some people can't get on as often as others, and when there's 14 fucking pages of posts to read through, take notes on, and try to make sense of, it gets a bit overwhelming. I say allow some more time, and the timed thing will work out better. At my old job, usually it wasn't nearly as restrictive as the new job is going to be. People are constantly walking by my desk, and it is set up so that anyone can see my computer screen, not very conducive to screwing around on the internet. So, I for one am going to be a LOT less active in any future games I participate in. For that reason alone I may stick to writer, I really enjoyed that more anyway.
